Pinecrest Bakery is expanding to Miami Springs.

The beloved bakery is opening a shop at 4601 NW 36th Street, according to its website. MiamiSprings.com notes that the restaurant will open at a former Burger King, in what is the city’s busiest intersection at the crossroads between Le Jeune Road and NW 36th Street. An opening date has not been announced, though the website mentions, “coming soon in 2026”.

Pinecrest Bakery first opened December 2012, with lines reaching out the door on early weekend mornings only a month after opening, we realized we had found a sweet-spot in the hearts and homes of Miami. Partners Efrain Valdes, Jr., Gladys Valdes, and Joel Rodriguez quickly knew they were on to something big when customers would line up for its Cuban pastelitos, breads, and more.

Today, there are more than 30 locations throughout South Florida with the company slowly moving north from Miami with locations in Broward and Palm Beach counties. The bakery is known for its Cuban-American favorites, with most locations open 24 hours a day.

The community-focused restaurant also believes in supporting many local foundations including Camillus House, the Children’s Spanish Book Festival, the Miami Cancer Institute, and the Moya Foundation. In addition, the restaurant annually participates in Miami’s Latin Restaurant Weeks.
