Last week, Mary Brickell Village, the lifestyle center owned by Kimco Realty, announced several new tenants coming soon to the development. Several of these you may have already read about in coverage by What Now, including Uchiba and Van Leeuwen Ice Cream. What you won’t have read about is this: Playa Bowls, the fast-growing acai-bowl-and-more chain, is also opening a new location there.
“The New Jersey-based fast-casual chain known for its smoothies, juices and variety of acai, pitaya and coconut bowls will open at 569-square-food space in fall 2025,” says a press release.
Put together with their considerable variety of bases, Playa Bowl’s bowl choices range from the Nutella Bowl (Playa Acai topped with blueberry flax granola, strawberry, banana, coconut flakes, and Nutella) to the Goldie Mango Bowl (Playa Mango topped with blueberry flax granola, strawberry, banana, and Nutella), to the Goji Bowl (Playa Pitaya topped with blueberry flax granola, banana, pineapple, goji berries, coconut flakes, and honey), to the Coco Bowl (Playa Coconut blend [contains coconut, and banana] topped with blueberry flax granola, banana, and honey). There’s a lot more to try: we’d quickly run out of room here!
These popular combinations should make a fun addition to a food and beverage portfolio that continues to grow.
“These additions push the center forward—raising the bar for food, culture and everyday experiences in the heart of Brickell,” said Dani Cohn, Vice President of Lifestyle Leasing at Kimco Realty, in the press release.
