What Now reported back in 2022 on a huge deal signed by fast-casual burrito franchise Qdoba Mexican Eats to open a total of 30 Qdoba locations in North Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties over the next ten years. Since then, the brand has grown apace in the area, launching two locations since November 2023, with at least two more coming in 2025.

The first of these locations is set to open in Delray Beach, at 7655 W Atlantic Avenue—the third location for franchise Michael Guiffre—to be followed by another location in North Miami, Guiffre confirmed in a phone conversation with What Now on Tuesday.

Guiffre is a longtime franchisee. After building experience working as a Dunkin’ franchisee for a decade, Guiffre encountered Qdboa through a friend.

“Qdoba had a lot of area still to be developed, and I wanted to do something in South Florida. We had a discovery day, and we went there and signed a contract right away.”

One of the big selling points for the brand, Guiffre said, is that guac and queso are simply available as toppings for your burrito or bowl—without the big upcharge you find at most other fast-casual burrito spots.

“That’s been our big selling point, the free guac and queso on every order.”

Submitted plan review documents show the new Qdoba opening at 14583 Biscayne Boulevard in North Miami Beach, and Guiffre says an opening is expected there by the end of April.
