Franchisees John Minahan, James Minahan and Marshall DiCarlo are planning to bring a Crack’d Kitchen & Coffee location to Plantation. The restaurant will appear at 333 North University.
The space is currently in the planning and design phase, Minahan reports. They hope to begin construction soon, with a goal of opening in mid-June.
The concept was founded when Danny Azzarello, his wife, and their two other business partners, were helping a mutual friend with their food truck. According to their website, the four future partners realized how well they worked together, and they transformed their love of breakfast and food into the business they have today, with two open locations and two more on the way.
Per their website, Azzarello attributes the well-made breakfast sandwich as the inspiration behind the concept: “Crack’d Kitchen & Coffee was founded with a love of the breakfast sandwich. That’s where it truly was inspired.”
Minahan, who has lived in Key West and North Miami, began the venture of bringing the franchise to south Florida after trying the concept in New Hampshire. As soon as he walked in the door, Minahan found Azzarello and said he wanted to bring the concept to Southern Florida, which he feels has a need for high quality quick service breakfast and lunch restaurants.
