Dharma South Kitchen will be coming to Miami and Fort Lauderdale, according to owner Chef Shaun Noonan.

The concept has three locations, one in Orlando, Tampa and Sanford. Their expansion is set to begin in central Florida, adding a unit to Oveido, St. Pete and Tampa. Once these locations are open and operating, the brand’s focus will be set on south Florida.

An exact location for the units is not known, nor is a specific timeline. Chef Noonan is planning to have the central Florida locations open within the year.

The company operates under an exciting and unexpected concept: plant-based southern food. Known for the decadence of our dishes, the south commonly serves greasy fried chicken, creamy mac and cheese, and heaping burgers full of fixings. Dharma isn’t forgoing any of the southern traditions. Only, they have decided to find plant-based alternatives for all the staples.

The brand has a long history beginning with Chef Noonan’s culinary career in Chicago, Atlanta, Orlando, and Bulgaria. From then on, Chef Noonan became a trucker to raise money for his first plant-based concept: The Vegan Hot Dog Car. Eventually, he would go on to open Dharma as a mobile operation. Now, he is drawing up plans for an imminent national expansion.
