Located at 2057 SW Eighth Street in Miami, Cuban restaurant Sanguich offers a streamlined selection of Cuban sandwiches—a restaurant “fiercely protecting our traditions.” Plans were submitted recently for a Sanguich walk-up counter at 111 Palermo Ave., Suite 103, where a second location is in the works for the sandwich brand.

“The Applicant seeks to use the walk-up counter, otherwise known as the “ventanita,” to serve patrons of Sanguich, a 2,127 square foot Cuban sandwich shop within the Plaza,” say documents cited in coverage by Gables Insider.

The location at The Plaza Coral Gables is situated right next to CVI.CHE 105. There, guests will be able to enjoy classic sandwiches like the Media Noche (City Ham, lechon, swiss cheese, pickles and mustard on sweet bread), Pan con Bistec (Thinly sliced sous vide steak, mojo rojo, fried string potatoes, and swiss cheese), and the Sanguich de Miami (Turkey, hand-cut smoked bacon, swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayo on Cuban bread)—plus the Cubano, of course.

What Now reached out to co-owner Daniel Figueredo on Monday to ask about plans for the Coral Gables location. Figueredo was not immediately available for comment.
