South Florida mainstay and third-generation family business Sergio’s is continuing to expand its footprint in the area. The brand, which now boasts “20 million croquetas served” has restaurants in locales like Pembroke Pines, Doral, and Miami Lakes, including both restaurant and streamlined “Go” locations. Now, Sergio’s is preparing to launch its fourteenth outpost in Pinecrest.

The brand announced the news in an Instagram post:

“We’ve spent 20 years searching for the perfect location in Pinecrest,” the post says. “We’re thrilled to join the Pinecrest community. A heartfelt thank you to Mayor, commissioners, the planning department, and the Navarro Family for your incredible support!” The Sergio’s menu packs in breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There are entrees like Mojo Shredded Chicken (Mojo shredded chicken vaca frita – 48 hours marinated, flat iron grilled chicken + cooked onions + mojo sauce) and Pollo a la Plancha (Flat iron grilled chicken breast + onions + parsley).

There’s also a popular selection of sandwiches like the Croqueta Preparada, the Pan con Lechon, the Cuban, and the Miami Sandwich (Ham + turkey + bacon + lettuce + tomatoes + mayo + Swiss cheese + Cuban bread).

The new restaurant will open at 11927 S Dixie Highway this fall, says coverage by the Miami New Times.

What Now reached out on Thursday to Sergio’s CEO Carlos Gazitua to ask about plans for the new location. Gazitua was not immediately available for comment.
