Previously located at 4233 SW 75th Ave., craft beer and sake brewer Shōjō’s Dojo closed its doors after its space was bought out (according to the Miami New Times). It’s one of a number of temporary closures in the Miami market’s food and drink scene. But while uncertainty surrounds many others of those closures, Shōjō’s Dojo is definitely on its way to reopening.
What Now confirmed the news with co-owner Haidar Hachem on Friday.
“We actually have a meeting on Monday to finalize the location,” Hachem said.
What Now is expecting an update once the brewer’s name home is ready to be announced.
Created by Hachem and his partner (in business and life) Mari Orozco, Shōjō Beer Co. “started as a brewery concept, which has now also dove into brewing sake,” says the brand’s website. “You can enjoy all Shōjō creations at Shōjō’s Dojo which is also Florida’s/Miami’s first ever Sake Brewery.”
The Dojo won the New Times’ Best Brewery back in 2024 (“Open less than a year and already Miami’s best brewery? Yes, dreams come true when they are deserved.”). So South Florida definitely needs it back!
Stay tuned for details on the new location!
