As Showa Hospitality continues to build its presence in South Florida, the hospitality group behind concepts like The Taco Stand, Convoy Music Bar, and Showa Ramen, is now preparing to open Bistro 8 in Little Havana. The new restaurant will open at 2069 SW Eighth Street, in Calle 8.

“Bistro 8, part of Michelin awarded Showa Hospitality Group… will be a traditional bistro styled fine dining restaurant with a Mexican inspired menu,” says a recent Craigslist hiring post. “Executive chef Pancho Ibanez has crafted a beautiful Mexican cuisine based menu styled on the traditional French bistro. This concept will serve to fine dining standards in an upscale casual environment.”

Further details are still scarce about Bistro 8. The concept’s page on the Show Hospitality website says only that it is “Coming soon,” but the Craigslist post gives an estimated opening in January.

Launching in the Eighth Street location, at the intersection with Southwest 21st Avenue, Bistro 8 will join restaurants like Sanguich, Guayacan Miami Restaurant, El Toro Loco Churrascaria, and Exquisito Chocolates.
