The Falls mall will soon welcome another outpost of sweetgreen, an affordable and healthy dining alternative for people who must balance a budget and eat healthy. According to a plan review filing with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, the restaurant will appear at 8870 SW 136 St.
The concept launched in 2007 to fill a gap in the food service industry: quick, healthy and affordable food. The founders, Nicolas Jammet, Nathaniel Ru and Jonathan Neman launched in Washington, D.C. Now the company has grown to a 140+ locations across the country.
In addition to offering quick and healthy food, the company has committed to sustainability. On their website, they promise to achieve carbon neutrality by the end of 2027.
When the location is planned to open is unsure. What Now reached out to the director of operations services David L. Salzano to confirm an opening date, but have yet to hear back. The Falls website denotes that sweetgreen will open soon.
