Located in the Stiles Hotel at 1120 Collins Avenue in Miami Beach, Swizzle Rum Bar & Drinkery has been an unquestionable hit, offering killer cocktails with a special (you might say hyper-) focus on rum.
“Swizzle Rum Bar & Drinkery is a hidden Craft Cocktail Bar which is inspired by the Colonist Era in United States,” says the Swizzle website’s About Us page. “The 18th century was a period of in which rum was enormously popular and the glory story of many.”
Now, the bar is about to launch a second location, this time in Fort Lauderdale, where it will open soon at 305 S Andrews Ave, according to recent coverage by the Miami New Times.
“Swizzle Rum Bar & Drinkery evokes a speakeasy vibe in an intimate setting,” says the description on the Swizzle site. “The menu at Swizzle Rum Bar & Drinkery boasts a versatile cocktail list with a focus on classic and contemporary cocktails, as well as a mix of spirit forward drinks and tropical libations. Think drinks like the classic Hurricane made with Banks 5 Island, Plantation Dark Rum and EO grenadine; a coffee-infused dark rum Banana Daiquiri; and the vodka, pineapple, and mint based Missionary Downfall. To soak up those cocktails, bites like burgers, fries and Jamaican jerk chicken wings.”
Opening on the southwest corner of the intersection of South Andrews Avenue and West Las Olas Boulevard, the new Swizzle will join restaurants like The Piefather, Vicky Bakery & Cafe, and QBA Bowls & Bites.
What Now reached out to owner Danilo Bozovic on Friday to ask about the details of the opening. Bozovic was not immediately available for comment.
