Some of Miami’s most loved tacos are coming to Little River.
Taquiza Tacos is opening a taco shop at 8246 NE Second Avenue. Signs have gone up, and owner Steve Santana has confirmed the news with Whatnow Miami. An opening date has not been announced.
Taquiza came onto the Miami scene in 2014, when Santana opened a small taco shop inside a South Beach hostel. The tiny shop soon became a success with people traveling hours for its tacos that are made from scratch from the finest ingredients. Organic and non-GMO blue corn is ground in-house daily, then used for homemade gluten-free tortillas and chips, serving as an authentic and delicious bed for slow braised meats to rest in. For this level of quality, the humble taco shop received entry into the Florida Michelin Guide. The original Taquiza closed in 2023, with a larger, beachside location thriving at 7450 Ocean Terrace in Miami Beach.
Taquiza Little River is opening in one of Miami’s hottest culinary neighborhoods. In the past few years, Little River has become one of the city’s most interesting culinary destinations offering everything from Michelin-starred dining at Ogawa to pizza at Bar Bucce and wine at Magie.
