The NY Pizza Place offers about the closest thing you can get to New York pizza without being physically in the city. The secret is in the dough, the sauce and the oven.
“Our dough is made with a time-tested recipe that dates back generations,” says the brand’s website. “It’s crafted using the finest ingredients, including semolina flour, water, salt, and a touch of yeast. It rises slowly allowing the flavors to develop and create that signature New York-style chewy yet crisp crust.”
The sauce, meanwhile, comes from a family recipe that blends “vine-ripened tomatoes, aromatic herbs, and just the right amount of seasoning.” And, in what’s perhaps the most unique aspect of the NY Pizza Place, the pizzas are baked in a unique high-temperature Italian-made oven so that every pie comes out just right: “that signature crispiness on the outside” with “the inside soft and flavorful.”
The NY Pizza Place currently has three locations in operation: in Tamarac, in Coral Springs/Parkland, and in Boca Raton. And now, in addition to an upcoming fourth location opening in Deerfield Beach this winter, the brand is also at work on a fifth.
The precise location is not yet known, but NY Pizza Place’s fifth location—which is expected to open around the same time as the one in Deerfield—will open in Pompano Beach.
“We’re expanding fast,” co-owner Elyshia Allen told What Now. “We’re bringing good pizza to South Florida.”
