Rio Vista in Fort Lauderdale will soon be home to an outpost of Willie T’s Seafood Shack, a concept from Thompson Hospitality. A recently submitted plan review found by What Now indicates that the hospitality group will launch Florida’s first Willie T’s at 824 Cordova Rd.

Thompson is behind a number of brands, including Makers Union, Big Buns Damn Good Burgers, The Rub Chicken & Beer, American Tap Room, and others.

A menu on the Willie T’s website shows popular dishes like the Shrimp Roll and the Delta Catfish Sandwich; fried fish sandwiches like the Icelandic Cod Sandwich and the Oyster Sandwich; and grilled fish entrees like Cold Water Lobster Tail and Faroe Island Salmon. A selection of Lunch Boxes (served with waffle fries, coleslaw, a hush puppy) include the Gulf Shrimp Lunch Box and the Whiting Lunch Box.

It is unknown, for the moment, how closely the Cordova Rd. Willie T’s location’s menu will match this one. No opening date for the location is yet available.
