Delray Beach looks to be welcoming a new restaurant into its food and drink community. Called Tru Island Grill, it will open at 37 SW Fifth Ave, near the intersection with West Atlantic Avenue, according to plan review paperwork submitted by Tru Island Grill LLC.

Behind the project is S. Scott Alcius, the entrepreneur who brought Truth Lounge and Nightclub to Fort Lauderdale.

“Where Community and Entertainment Collide,” reads a description on the Truth Lounge website. “Founded by visionary entrepreneur S. Scott Alcius, Truth Lounge and Club is more than just a nightclub; it’s a thriving community hub where people come together to connect, celebrate, and create lasting memories. With a wealth of experience in building successful social spaces, Alcius has poured his passion into creating a unique atmosphere that caters to a diverse crowd.”

What Now reached out to Alcius on Tuesday to ask about plans for Tru Island Grill. Alcius was not immediately available for comment.

Opening in the Southwest Fifth Avenue location, Tru Island Grill would join restaurants like Sweet’s Sensational, Checkers, and Grooves Kitchen & Daiquiris.
