Late last year, Urban Air Adventure Park announced it had signed a deal with a Houston-based franchise group helmed by entrepreneurs Haydee and Federico Carvallo and Oscar Acosta to open four new parks. Three locations are planned for Florida, including two South Florida locations: one in Pembroke Pines and one in Homestead. The group already operates two locations in the Miami area.
“Originally from Venezuela,” reads a press release, “Haydee Carvallo discovered her passion for entrepreneurship while in the U.S. She discovered Urban Air at a children’s birthday party and knew she wanted to get involved, presenting the idea to her husband Federico, who was equally as excited and immediately came on as business partner. A few years later, they asked Oscar to join them, and they love working as a team.”
Urban Air Adventure Park is the largest adventure park operator in the world, with more than 159 locations currently in operation, and with almost as may more currently under development. It features attractions like rope courses, Urban Air’s Sky Rider, Battle Beams, laser tag, dodgeball courts, Go-Karts, obstacle courses and more.
Each park also features a fast casual Urban Air Cafe, offering familiar adventure-park eats like burgers, fries, pizza, funnel cakes, and more.
“Our Urban Air parks have exceeded our expectations, making it an easy decision to continue to expand within the company,” co-franchisee Federico Carvallo said in the press release. “We have created a community for our employees and customers, both internally and externally, and are excited for those to continue.”
