On East Las Olas Boulevard, just west of the Southeast Eighth Avenue intersection, Palm Beach Gardens-based, New Orleans-inspired restaurant Voodoo Bayou is preparing to open a new location. A plan review was recently submitted by Voo Doo Bayou Las Olas LLC for a Voodoo Bayou restaurant at 715 E Las Olas Blvd in Fort Lauderdale.
The Voodoo Bayou menu features Opening Acts like Shakey’s Gator Tail and Charred Okra; handhelds like the Shrimp Po’ Boy and the Gator Dog; and entrees like Creole Mustard Salmon, Jambalaya, and Catfish Court-Bouillon.
The brunch menu, on the other hand, offers Bayou Brunch dishes like Wagyu Country Fried Steak, Biscuits & Gravy, and the Voodo0 Fritatta, with roasted peppers, grilled corn, charred okra, peas, and Cajun Hollandaise. Boozy offerings from the Brunch Cocktails menu include Shakey’s Cajun Bloody Mary and the Breakfast Old Fashioned (Bacon-infused bourbon, Amaro Nonino, Angustora & orange bitters, maple syrup & double-smoked bacon)—on top of bottomless mimosas or bloodies.
The Fort Lauderdale location will open on a thriving stretch of Las Olas Blvd, with neighbors like Tommy Bahama Martin Bar & Store, Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar, and Gran Forno Pronto.
