Founded in California in 1994, Wetzel’s Pretzels has taken its “Handheld Happiness” all over the country, to hundreds of fresh bakeries. Now the brand is preparing to open a new location in West Palm Beach.

This week, What Now came across plan review paperwork submitted by Dream Foods USA for a new Wetzel’s Pretzels at 9990 Belvedere Rd, Space 800. That would place a new Wetzel’s Pretzels inside the Walmart Supercenter at the intersection of Belvedere and State Road 7.

The brand, which opened its first store in 1994, has since grown to more than 340 bakeries.

“Every Wetzel’s Pretzels bakery lives by the original vision of its founders; that each super-premium pretzel will be crafted from fresh dough and baked in-store consistently throughout the day, to ensure a delicious offering for each customer, regardless of when the craving for a pretzel strikes,” says the franchise’s website.

What Now reached out on Friday to franchisee Sid Kapur to ask about plans for a West Palm Beach Wetzel’s Pretzels. Kapur was not immediately available for comment.
