Launched by celebrity restaurateur Memphis Garrett, Garrett Hospitality Group is the culinary force behind concepts like Ya Mas!, No Man’s Land, and Lady May. The group is currently at work on a new concept opening in Fort Lauderdale: Whaler’s Catch.
Promising an “Oyster Bar + Seaside Fare,” Whaler’s Catch will open at 905 N Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd. And this ship is definitely preparing to disembark: What Now found a plan review submitted recently by Lady May FTL LLC for “Whaler’s Catch.”
What Now reached out to a representative of Garrett Hospitality Group on Tuesday to inquire about plans for the new restaurant. The representative was not immediately available for comment on Whaler’s Catch’s opening plans.
Opening near Sonesta Fort Lauderdale Beach, Whaler’s Catch will join a culinary community that includes restaurants like Pimanti Brothers Pizza and Grill, El Taquito, Parrot Lounge, and Yo Mama’s Ice Cream.
