Wingstop, the chicken wing chain that offers a custom chicken experience thanks to multiple sauces and rubs, is opening a location in Miami’s New River neighborhood.
Franchise group, Florida Wingmen LLC just filed permit applications with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation to open a Wingstop at 1643 NW 30th Street. This area is seeing a lot of growth, with restaurants and galleries opting to move west of I-95. An opening date has not been announced.
The first Wingstop opened in Garland, Texas in 1994 by Antonio Swad with the idea that chicken wings should be the star of a menu instead of a starter or a side dish. The restaurant specializes in made-to-order chicken wings, boneless wings, and tenders that can be customized to anyone’s taste and heat level with about a dozen signature sauces and rubs including hot honey, garlic parmesan, spicy Korean Q, and more. The restaurant also sells sandwiches, fries, and drinks and offers everything from individual orders to party packs for the entire family.
