Antipode, a brunch-focused cafe known for its globally inspired plates and specialty lattes, is preparing to open a new location in Saint-Laurent at an undisclosed address.
The company’s second location appears to be moving forward, with a recent Instagram post from the Antipode team indicating that the buildout is approximately 75% complete. Although an exact opening date has not yet been announced, the post shows that construction is well underway. Customers can expect the same brunch-forward menu that has defined the Laurier Avenue East original, including shakshuka, poached egg dishes, halal chicken and waffles, and a robust specialty coffee lineup.
Antipode, owned and operated by Nicolas Remy, first opened in Montreal’s Plateau Mont-Royal neighborhood, gaining a following for its blend of Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, and North American flavors. The brand does not take reservations and has built a reputation for walk-in brunch service seven days a week. The Laurier location remains active and will continue operating alongside the Saint-Laurent site.
The company has not disclosed the address or whether the new location is taking over a former business. No permits or construction filings have been publicly released at this time, and ownership has not made additional announcements outside of social media. However, the new site marks the first expansion for the brand since opening its original location.
The menu features egg-forward dishes, including croques, benedicts, and shakshukas, as well as signature items such as pistachio milk, popcorn lattes, and French toast with yuzu cream. Vegan and gluten-free options are available, and all meat is halal. The ownership team has not yet commented publicly on the new Saint-Laurent location. Updates are expected to be shared through Antipode’s social media in the coming weeks.
