The team behind Pâtisserie Mélilot is set to open a new venture, called Atelier Mélilot, in Outremont, located at 109 Av. Querbes.
This is the latest from Aurélien Kerzerho, Vincent Gagnon-Boisvert, and Clémence Corbière. This trio opened Pâtisserie Mélilot in 2022, offering a range of delicious pastries crafted with high-quality, seasonal ingredients. Their menu includes individual and sharing-sized pastries, such as Paris-Brest, as well as seasonal specialties like blueberry tarts and Black Forest cakes. Additionally, Mélilot serves quiches, sandwiches, and operates as a café, providing a cozy spot for both sweet and savory treats. The name “Mélilot” is inspired by the sweet clover plant, known for its vanilla and almond-like aroma, which reflects the shop’s focus on unique, herbaceous, and floral flavors.
Now, the team is preparing to pivot in a slightly new direction with Atelier Mélilot, which will offer a selection of gourmet ice creams, among other treats. Corbière tells What Now Montreal that this new concept is expected to open sometime in May 2025. The upcoming Atelier Mélilot promises to continue this tradition, providing a fresh and delightful experience for dessert enthusiasts. Located on Laurier Avenue West, Outremont, this new space is expected to become a must-visit destination for both locals and visitors seeking exceptional frozen treats and more.
This is a massive accomplishment for the established team behind Pâtisserie Mélilot, who bring a wealth of experience. Kerzerho, originally from Brittany, trained in France and worked at Maison Boulud and Rosélys before opening Mélilot. Gagnon-Boisvert brings service expertise from restaurants like Leméac, while Corbière, formerly of Candide, adds design and beverage knowledge. The idea for the pâtisserie came from Corbière during the pandemic, leading to their collaboration. Since opening in 2022, Mélilot has become a local favorite for its refined pastries and café-style offerings.
