Causette, a new brunch and refreshment bar concept, is set to open its doors in Val-David, located at 1347 rue de la Sapinière, directly across from the P’tit Train du Nord.
The new restaurant is expected to open on September 13, 2025, and will operate from Wednesday to Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Causette will offer a brunch menu with vegetarian options, a third-party refreshment bar, and an evolving calendar of events. The new restaurant will also feature a large sunny terrace, second-hand items for sale, and a kid-friendly play corner. The space aims to serve as a community hub—welcoming visitors to eat, drink, relax, and gather in the heart of the Val-David village.
Causette’s location offers prime visibility and access to a steady stream of locals and tourists alike, thanks in part to its position directly across from the P’tit Train du Nord, a major regional attraction. This 232-kilometre linear park draws thousands of cyclists, runners, walkers, and cross-country skiers throughout the year. With a large sunny terrace facing the trail, Causette is poised to become a natural stop for those looking to take a break with a meal, coffee, or drink. Val-David itself is a well-known cultural and outdoor destination in the Laurentians.
The village is home to Parc Regional Val-David–Val-Morin, which offers popular hiking, climbing, and biking trails. It’s also a hub for local artisans, galleries, and weekend markets, attracting visitors looking for art, crafts, and unique shopping experiences. Causette’s inclusion of second-hand treasures and family-friendly amenities complements the village’s community-driven atmosphere.
Nearby shops, yoga studios, and wellness centers contribute to the pedestrian-friendly environment, especially on weekends when the area sees increased foot traffic. With its combination of brunch, buvette, events, and kid-friendly amenities, Causette is positioned to appeal to both casual passersby and destination diners exploring all that Val-David has to offer.
