Chez Mio, a new cafe and bistro concept, is getting ready to open in Boischatel at 5014 avenue Royale.
The upcoming opening marks the latest project from owner Alex Nadeau-Fiset, who also operates Resto de la Plage in Saint Jean de l’Île d’Orléans. Chez Mio is scheduled to open in October 2025 with construction support from SK Group, General Contractor, and Morin & Co., according to the company’s social media. Guests can expect daytime cafe offerings, evening bistro fare, and a welcoming, neighborhood-focused environment.
Chez Mio is described as a gathering place for locals to enjoy comfort food, coffee, and wine, with a focus on fostering connection and community. The concept aims to cater to a range of moments, from quick morning coffees to relaxed dinners with friends, in a space that transitions throughout the day.
Nadeau-Fiset brings local hospitality experience and a clear vision for the new venue. Her existing restaurant, Resto de la Plage, has become a well-known destination on Île d’Orléans. Chez Mio will expand on that foundation with a broader day-to-night service model in a high-visibility location just minutes from Montmorency Falls.
This will be an excellent location for the restaurant’s debut, considering Chez Mio will sit in a prime area for foot traffic, situated along a well-traveled corridor connecting Boischatel to key tourist destinations, including Montmorency Falls and Île d’Orléans. Nearby businesses, residential neighborhoods, and visitor activity contribute to steady year-round traffic. The visibility and accessibility of the location make it an ideal setting for introducing a community-focused concept like Chez Mio.
