Montreal’s beloved Italian sandwich shop, Ciccio’s, is bringing its mouthwatering paninis to a new location in the heart of Downtown Montreal at 1212 Avenue McGill College.

The company’s second location is set to move into the former home of Foodchain, the Montreal Plaza team’s salad bar, according to Tastet. Carma Hospitality, the team behind the concept, recently shared an update on social media regarding the new Ciccio’s on McGill College site, saying it is currently under construction and is expected to open in Summer 2025. When it does open, customers can expect Ciccio’s signature blend of traditional Italian sandwiches and fresh, high-quality ingredients. Known for its retro-chic decor, Ciccio’s promises to deliver the same inviting, casual atmosphere in its first-ever expansion.

In addition to its famous paninis, the new Ciccio’s will feature a selection of Italian treats, including desserts like cannoli and tiramisu, and a range of imported sodas, Quebec wines, and beers. Whether you’re looking for a quick bite or a relaxing spot to enjoy an espresso, this new location will surely be a welcome addition to Montreal’s dining scene. Ciccio’s is known for its exceptional sandwiches, including favorites like the Muffuletta, Tacchino, and Eggplant Parmigiana, alongside hearty salads and indulgent desserts. The downtown location will also continue the brand’s commitment to quality, simplicity, and the vibrant flavors of Italy.

This location will be perfect for the company because it’s in the heart of downtown Montreal, where there’s plenty of foot traffic from office workers, students, and tourists. The cozy and casual space makes it an excellent fit for Ciccio’s laid-back vibe. It’s the perfect spot to share their delicious Italian sandwiches with an even bigger crowd while staying true to what makes the original location so popular. Those who don’t want to wait for this location to open are welcome to visit the company’s flagship site at 411 Rue Saint-Nicolas.
