Croissound, a brand known for its morning parties that combine music, dancing, and coffee, is preparing to open its first cafe in Montreal.
The cafe is planned to open in 60 days from the announcement, according to founder Lisa Rey, who shared the news on social media. The exact location of the cafe has not been revealed, but Rey is asking the public for suggestions on what they would like to see in the space. Guests can expect Croissound’s signature atmosphere, which blends coffee, community, and morning music events.
Croissound was founded in February 2025 by Lisa Rey and her partner Sawaya as an alcohol-free events company. The brand quickly built a community around “morning parties” that feature local DJs, dancing, and coffee, offering a daytime social alternative for people who prefer not to drink or want a different experience from traditional nightlife. The company promotes the slogan, “Cool people party at 11 am.”
The new cafe will mark the brand’s first permanent home, expanding Croissound from pop-ups and event-based experiences into a physical location. The concept is designed to rethink nightlife culture by bringing music and coffee together in a casual, community-driven cafe environment. This move represents the brand’s first expansion outside its event programming.
Menu offerings are expected to focus on coffee-based beverages, pastries, and light fare in keeping with Croissound’s existing brand identity. The company’s website showcases items with playful names like “Espresso Your Love” and “Decaf Is Not An Option,” reflecting its music-inspired, social-focused approach.
While the location has yet to be shared, Montreal will be an excellent city for this cafe to land in, given its vibrant cafe culture and its appetite for new social experiences. Rey and Sawaya’s involvement in the cafe’s daily operations is expected to ensure the venue continues the brand’s focus on community engagement and unique, alcohol-free events.
