Krispy Kreme Canada is growing its footprint in Quebec with two significant developments: the opening of its first-ever location in Laval and the relocation of its Quebec City Donut Factory. These announcements follow the brand’s recent expansion into Hamilton, Ontario, as part of its ongoing national growth.
In Laval, Krispy Kreme will open a new shop at 1140 Desserte Chomedey Ouest (A-13) in late Spring 2025. The 4,600-square-foot space will feature the brand’s Hot Light Theatre Shop design and include a drive-thru for added convenience.
“Laval is a city with incredible spirit and community pride, and we’re beyond excited to be joining it,” Kelcey Hamaker, Co-CEO of Krispy Kreme Canada, said in a press release. “We can’t wait to introduce residents to the Krispy Kreme experience; there’s truly nothing like that first bite of a hot doughnut fresh off the line.”
Opening day will feature giveaways, sweet treats, and the chance for early visitors to snag a Golden Ticket, redeemable for a dozen free Original Glazed doughnuts each month for an entire year. Krispy Kreme Canada is also hiring for the Laval location and will host a Job Fair on Saturday, June 7, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the new shop.
In Quebec City, the brand is relocating its Donut Factory from 1560 Le Bourgneuf Boulevard to 1257 Charest Boulevard West, within the Carrefour Charest building. The new 4,600-square-foot shop will feature Krispy Kreme’s first-of-its-kind design in Canada, a Hot Light Theatre, and a drive-thru.
“Moving to this vibrant neighborhood on Charest Boulevard West allows us to be even closer to the people who love our doughnuts,” Hamaker said. “We can’t wait to welcome everyone. The new location will have a brand new design and the same hot donuts!”
To celebrate the reopening, the first 12 customers in line will receive Golden Tickets. The first person in line will also receive a Golden Ticket and the honor of turning on the “Just Hot” light for the first time at the new location. Free Original Glazed® doughnuts will be offered throughout the day. The previous Quebec City store will close in early June to prepare for the relocation. These Quebec announcements follow the May 13 grand opening of Krispy Kreme’s first Hamilton location at 1290 Rymal Road East.
“Hamilton has such an incredible sense of community, pride, and momentum, and we’re thrilled to become a part of it,” Chris Lindsay, Co-CEO at Krispy Kreme Canada, said in a press release. “We can’t wait to introduce the magic of our hot, melt-in-your-mouth doughnuts to Hamilton!” “The new location is another step in Krispy Kreme Canada’s ongoing growth, as the brand continues to expand its presence and connect with more communities across Ontario and beyond.”
Founded in 1937, Krispy Kreme first entered Canada in 2001 with a location in Mississauga, followed by its Quebec debut in Montreal. Today, Krispy Kreme Canada operates 19 locations nationwide.
