Le Petit Dek Sen, a new Thai restaurant concept and sister to Dek Sen Cuisine Thaïlandaise, is getting ready to open in Montreal.

While the exact address has yet to be announced, the forthcoming eatery is expected to bring a cozier offshoot of the popular Thai brand to the city, according to the company’s social media. The new restaurant’s name translates to “Little Dek Sen,” indicating a more intimate version of the original concept, which has established a strong local following since its opening in January 2023. Le Petit Dek Sen was first teased on social media with a “see you soon” message, indicating a new chapter for the group and a continued focus on authentic Thai cuisine. The concept’s Instagram hints at a September opening.

Dek Sen Cuisine Thaïlandaise operates in Mont-Royal and is known for delivering fast, flavorful Thai dishes with a focus on quality and convenience. The restaurant specializes in traditional Thai cuisine, served in a relaxed, homey atmosphere. Its menu features a variety of well-known Thai dishes, including Pad Thai, Papaya Salad, and Tom Yum Soup, as well as rotating monthly specials.

While specific menu details for Le Petit Dek Sen have not yet been released, it’s expected that the new concept will retain the original’s dedication to authenticity while possibly offering a more streamlined or focused dining experience. Vegetarian and halal options are expected to remain part of the offering, as they are staples at the main location.

Dek Sen’s menu highlights include Chicken Curry Puffs, Khao Soi, Mango Sticky Rice, and Fried Shrimp with Tamarind Sauce. Its drink list features Thai iced teas, imported beers like Singha and Chang, and Thai-style cocktails. With Le Petit Dek Sen on the way, fans of Thai cuisine will soon have another option to explore in Montreal.
