Mandy’s Gourmet Salads, a Montreal-born salad bar that has become a destination for fresh, vibrant, and globally inspired salads, is getting ready to open its first location in Ottawa, located at the corner of Bank and Pretoria.
Founded in 2004 by sisters Mandy and Rebecca Wolfe, the concept began as Montreal’s first create-your-own salad bar, tucked away in the back of a women’s clothing store in Westmount. As of 2025, Mandy’s Gourmet Salads operates at least a dozen locations across Quebec and Ontario. Previously, What Now Media Group reported on new locations opening in Brossard, near Quartier DIX30, and in Toronto’s Yonge & Eglinton area, both scheduled for 2025.
Now the company is getting ready to make its area debut in Ottawa’s Glebe neighborhood, according to the Ottawa Citizen. The company also operates ghost kitchens in Toronto to support delivery and quick-service demand. A representative from the company tells What Now that Mandy’s Gourmet Salads plans to open its Ottawa location in August 2025, followed by the two new Toronto locations. The company also has plans to expand westward to Vancouver.
Mandy’s Gourmet Salads offers a diverse menu featuring signature salads, grain bowls, and customizable options. Signature salads include the Habibi, with turmeric tahini dressing, and the Seared Tuna, featuring wasabi ginger dressing. Grain bowls such as the Pacific Crunch, with chili lime dressing, and the Protein Power, combining tamari and green goddess dressings, are also available. Customers can create their own salads using a variety of bases, proteins, vegetables, fruits, crunchies, cheeses, and dressings. Seasonal offerings like the Truffle Party and Hoisin Duck add unique flavors to the menu.
