A bold new restaurant concept is at the center of a massive transformation at the Marriott Ottawa, located at 100 Kent Street, which is part of a multi-year renovation reimagining the downtown landmark both inside and out.

Set to be completed in 2026, the 489-room hotel’s common areas, including the lobby and public spaces, are being fully overhauled for the first time in 15 years. While many details about the restaurant remain under wraps, hotel representatives confirmed that a new culinary identity will anchor the reimagined guest experience. This latest investment by Manga Hotel Group is designed to secure its reputation as a leader in the industry for years to come.

The Marriott Ottawa is poised to emerge with a revitalized offering that caters to both visitors and locals. The new restaurant concept is expected to offer a locally inspired dining experience as part of the hotel’s updated amenities, though the full scope of the concept has not yet been publicly revealed.

“Manga is excited to be investing in this cornerstone property in Ottawa, and our goal is to provide an elevated and modern experience for guests,” Sukhdev Toor, president and CEO of Manga Hotel Group, said in a news release from STAY Magazine. “From the exterior, public spaces, guest rooms, meeting spaces, and amenities—we are leaving no area untouched.”

In addition to the new restaurant, the Marriott Ottawa will introduce sleek, contemporary bathrooms, redesigned multi-functional workspaces, and elevated public areas that blend comfort with productivity. Families will continue to enjoy access to the Kids Club and Games Room, while wellness-focused guests can unwind at the hotel’s health club, which includes an indoor pool.

The hotel’s 26 meeting and event venues—such as the panoramic Summit Room and grand Victoria Ballroom—are also being upgraded, reinforcing the property’s appeal as a destination for conferences, corporate events, and social functions.

“Our vision is to seamlessly marry modern sophistication with the timeless charm our guests have come to love,” Cole Sheridan, general manager of the hotel, said in the news release. “With thoughtful, innovative updates, we’re not just enhancing the experience—we’re creating an entirely elevated journey while minimizing any disruptions to our guests.”

Despite the scale of the renovation, the hotel remains open and fully operational, with efforts in place to ensure a seamless experience for all guests during the transition. While much of the transformation has been outlined, the upcoming restaurant remains one of the most anticipated elements of the hotel’s refresh. As excitement builds, locals and travelers alike await more details on the culinary direction set to redefine dining at one of Ottawa’s most iconic hotels.
