A new Vietnamese-inspired sandwich shop, Monsieur Mi, is set to open in Lachine at 1495 Rue Notre-Dame.

The new concept is expected to open in Fall 2025 and will operate as a bánh mì counter during the day, transforming into a snack and cocktail bar in the evening. Monsieur Mi will offer curated vinyl music and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, according to the company’s social media. The menu will focus on fresh ingredients, approachable pricing, and friendly service designed to attract both quick lunch customers and evening visitors looking for a casual drink and bite.

Owner Marc-André tells What Now Montreal that daytime service is expected to launch in early September 2025, with evening operations beginning closer to the end of the month. The concept aims to serve the community with both quality food and a thoughtful ambiance, offering a versatile space where customers can enjoy a sandwich by day and stay for cocktails at night.

In addition to food and drinks, music will play a central role in setting the mood. Carefully selected vinyl records will rotate regularly, adding a personal and cultural touch to the overall experience. Monsieur Mi is not to be confused with Monsieur Café & Vins, a separate business located at 1102 rue de Bleury in downtown Montreal. More details on the menu and opening dates are expected soon.
