A new restaurant is in the works behind the scenes at the Théâtre du Nouveau Monde at 84 Ste-Catherine Street West in Montreal.
The project is being led by a team of established culinary and cultural figures, including chef and restaurateur Martin Juneau, executive chef Anis Mouldi, and bar and restaurant veteran Jean-Philippe Gauthier, according to Silo57. Partners also include Quebec arts community members Valérie Roberts, Martin Watier, and Martin Béliveau. The restaurant is scheduled to open in Fall 2026. While the name and menu have not yet been announced, the concept is intended to create a welcoming space where culture and gastronomy intersect.
Though specific menu details remain under wraps, the team has emphasized that the restaurant will focus on high-quality culinary offerings that complement the city’s cultural scene, blending fine dining with a casual, social atmosphere. The space is expected to host drinks, meals, and gatherings for both arts patrons and the general public.
This development adds to Montreal’s growing lineup of culinary destinations within the Quartier des Spectacles, a hub known for vibrant nightlife, entertainment, and cultural programming. The project reflects a collaboration between experienced restaurateurs and prominent figures from the arts, aiming to merge gastronomy with the city’s creative spirit.
