Papa Sandwich, a Quebec City-based sandwich shop known for its generous portions and fresh ingredients, is getting ready to open a new location in Saint Augustin as part of its rapid expansion.
The company’s third location is scheduled to open in mid-February in Saint Augustin, according to co-owner Nathan Todd, who spoke with What Now Montreal. The Saint Augustin opening follows the recent debut of Papa Sandwich’s second location in Sainte-Foy, which opened roughly two weeks ago. While an exact address has not yet been publicly confirmed, the new restaurant will mark the brand’s first move outside Quebec City’s core neighborhoods. Customers can expect the same made-to-order sandwiches and casual service model found at the existing locations.
Papa Sandwich was founded in Quebec City and has quickly built a following for its focus on freshness and portion size. The brand currently operates its original Cartier Avenue location, with additional growth now underway across the region. The Saint Augustin location represents a strategic step in reaching customers beyond the city center. The area continues to attract families and commuters, making it well-suited for a fast-casual sandwich concept. By expanding into Saint Augustin, Papa Sandwich is extending its footprint into a growing suburban market.
Papa Sandwich’s menu centers on hot and cold sandwiches made with fresh ciabatta bread delivered daily by a local baker. Offerings include crispy and grilled chicken, steak, tofu, and cold cuts, paired with house-made sauces and hand-cut vegetables. Popular menu items feature combinations such as crispy chicken with burrata, marinated steak with cheddar, and classic caprese-style builds. Vegetarian options are also available.
As Papa Sandwich prepares for its Saint Augustin debut, the company appears focused on maintaining its core identity while accelerating growth. This will be an excellent landing space for Papa Sandwich as it introduces its concept to a new audience and tests its franchise-ready model in a neighboring market.
