Pearson Street Smashburgers N’ Melts, the Ottawa-based burger and melt concept, is preparing to launch a food truck in Embrun.

Co-owner Kris Pearson tells What Now Montreal that the company will debut the mobile kitchen next spring, with a planned April 2026 launch. The food truck will complement the brand’s flagship location at 1460 Cyrville Road in Ottawa. Customers can expect Pearson Street’s signature smashburgers, cheese melts, poutine, sandwiches, and a selection of beverages. This expansion allows the family-run business to bring its fresh, made-to-order menu to new neighborhoods while maintaining its community-focused approach.

Founded in 2021 by Chef Chris Pearson and Kris Pearson, Pearson Street quickly earned a reputation for quality and creativity, winning Ottawa’s Best Burger in its first year. The food truck gives the team flexibility to serve customers at community events, festivals, and everyday dining spots. By operating a mobile kitchen, the brand can introduce more people to its inventive menu while keeping the hands-on service and family atmosphere that define the restaurant.

The truck will operate on Wednesday evenings and from Thursday through Sunday, serving lunch and dinner. Customers can expect an approachable, casual setup designed for quick service and convenient dining. With its mobile format, Pearson Street can reach new areas while maintaining the same fresh ingredients and attention to detail as its brick-and-mortar location.

This will be Pearson Street’s first food truck, marking a new chapter for the brand. The launch provides customers in Embrun and surrounding areas an opportunity to enjoy the Pearsons’ award-winning creations in a mobile, approachable setting. Updates and schedules will be shared through the company’s social media channels.
