Presse Cafe, a Quebec-based cafe brand offering specialty coffees and casual meals, has changed ownership at its downtown Rimouski location at 124 Rue St Germain O.
The ownership transition took place on February 2, 2026, with Fanny St-Pierre and Tommy Lemieux-Cloutier acquiring the cafe from previous owners Gabrielle Chenail and Lydia Soucy, according to Le Soir. Customers can expect Presse Cafe’s established menu of coffee drinks, sandwiches, salads, and pastries.
Presse Cafe is a well-known brand across Quebec, with locations offering accessible cafe dining throughout the day. The Rimouski cafe operates as a neighborhood gathering space, serving customers in the morning, at lunch, and into the evening. All food items are prepared on-site, ensuring a consistent offering and daily freshness. The downtown location remains a popular stop for both quick visits and longer stays.
The cafe’s menu centers on specialty coffees alongside a selection of sandwiches, salads, and baked goods. The concept is designed to accommodate a range of needs, from takeaway orders to casual dine-in visits. Presse Cafe also offers free WiFi, making it a common workspace for students and professionals in the area.
During the summer months, the Rimouski location features a terrace overlooking Rue Saint Germain. The outdoor seating area allows customers to enjoy coffee, meals, beer, and wine in a relaxed setting. The terrace remains an important part of the cafe’s seasonal operations and downtown presence.
New co-owner Tommy Lemieux-Cloutier also manages several other hospitality businesses in Rimouski, including La Maison du Spaghetti, Bistro de la Forge, and Auberge de la Vieille Maison. Those establishments are also located along Saint Germain East Street. With local experience and established operations nearby, the new ownership is positioned to continue Presse Cafe’s long-standing role in downtown Rimouski.
