Pub Trèfle Noir Brasserie Artisanale, a long-running craft brewery and pub known for its locally brewed beer, is getting ready to relaunch as Brio Microbrasseur in Rouyn-Noranda at 145 Av. Principale.

The rebrand follows nearly a year of preparation and will introduce several operational changes while keeping the same location and brewing expertise behind the project, according to Craft Industry QC. While an exact launch date has not yet been announced, the new concept is expected to debut in Spring 2026. The transition goes beyond a name change and includes updates to brewing operations and the overall customer experience.

As part of the relaunch, beer will once again be brewed at the Rouyn-Noranda location. The team plans to install new brewing equipment to produce batches specifically for the pub. According to the company, these beers will be available exclusively on site and will feature a different lineup from the brand’s existing canned offerings.

The project also includes a two-phase renovation plan that will gradually transform the space. The first phase will take place in winter 2026 and will focus on renovating the basement while installing the new brewing equipment. The second phase is scheduled for spring 2026 and will include a full redesign of the customer area to create a more modern and welcoming atmosphere aligned with the Brio Microbrasseur brand.

Although the pub itself is being rebranded, the Trèfle Noir name will continue to exist through its packaged beer products. Canned Trèfle Noir beers will remain available across Quebec and will now be produced and distributed by Lagabière Microbrasserie.

Located in the center of downtown Rouyn-Noranda, the brewery has been a gathering place for local craft beer customers for years. The upcoming Brio Microbrasseur concept aims to continue that role with a renewed focus on in-house brewing and a redesigned pub environment. The pub will remain open during the transition period, with additional updates expected to be shared on Brio’s social media channels.
