What Went Wrong for Cafe Coco’s Italian Market & Kitchen?

Nashville, TN 37209, Cafe Coco’s Italian Market & Kitchen did not meet the required score in the routine inspection by the TN Department of Health due to multiple violations. This was the second time that the Nashville restaurant scored less than 70 for non-compliance with the health department’s food safety regulations.

In the March 2025 inspection, the TN Department of Health noted that restaurant workers were handling raw food without washing hands.. Inspectors found that the restaurant stored food in Cambro containers at temperatures above the safe chilling limit. The department found temperature-related issues with other food items (like pizzas, Alfredo sauce, and fresh mozzarella) at Cafe Coco’s Italian Market & Kitchen as well.
Inspectors also noted that the restaurant was not maintaining labels on chemical spray bottles. The disclaimer on the menu of Cafe Coco’s Italian Market & Kitchen was also missing.
