8th & Roast is joining the soon-to-open Canopy by Hilton at 920 Division St. The hotel — along with its food and beverage offerings — is slated to open in spring 2025, according to a release.
8th & Roast will have a full-service coffee bar in the lobby of the hotel. It will be the fourth location for the brand and the first in the Gulch neighborhood.
“Partnering with Canopy allows us to extend our passion for exceptional coffee to a whole new audience,” Ed Reed, co-owner of 8th and Roast, said in the release. “We’re excited to establish a presence in the Gulch community and be a part of this elevated new space where guests can come and enjoy their perfect coffee moment in the heart of Music City.”
8th & Roast also has locations in Midtown, along Charlotte Avenue and along Eighth Avenue. It serves handcrafted coffee beverages as well as breakfast items.
“Our concept as a whole is as a community-based coffee brand, and I think Canopy was looking to embrace local small businesses,” Q-Juan Taylor, co-owner of 8th & Roast, told What Now New York. “Our brand, our team and our approach to service — I think our story was what they were looking for and it was a great alignment.”
Taylor said this new location will spur the brand’s continual growth in the market.
“It allows us to extend our passion for providing exceptional coffee to the Nashville community. This shows our capacity to deliver the same capacity as larger coffee companies have in the past, and it’s a reflection of our growth,” Taylor said.
