Jennifer and Jerry Cline are moving their seafood-focused brand Aloha Fish Company to a new space. It is moving from Herron Drive to oneC1TY at 3 City Blvd, Suite 200. The team began the move earlier this month and are hoping to reopen in the new space in September.
“The space that we moved out of wasn’t our forever home,” Jennifer told What Now Nashville. “We wanted more visibility and community.”
The Clines launched the business in 2020 with the goal of bringing fresh, healthy seafood from Hawaii to the Nashville community. The new location will provide Aloha Fish Company with the ability to reach more people and to expand their offerings. Their space at oneC1TY will be near apartment complexes, office buildings and other hubs that will increase their visibility.
“There’s good camaraderie and all the community activities they do at oneC1TY are super exciting,” Jennifer said. “So we’re excited to join the community.”
The new space will allow the team to keep more seafood stocked on-site. Previously, the Clines have encouraged customers to preorder seafood, but now it will be easier for customers to walk in and grab seafood that they need. They will also be adding more Hawaiian retail items like jellies, jams and salad dressings.
Jennifer said they will also be pushing their DIY kits, such as their fish taco kit. The kits provide customers with the ingredients and steps to make fresh, healthy meals in minutes.
“Our goal is to continue to bring high-quality seafood to Nashville, where we’re landlocked,” Jennifer said. “We want families to eat really well. We want a healthy option for families.”
They will also continue to serve musubi and poke bowls, and they plan to add Hawaiian shave ice to their lineup of offerings at oneC1TY.
Currently, the Clines have a kickstarter going to raise funds to buy more equipment for the seafood market.
“Hawaii always seems to be a special place when people visit, and we want to reenact that,” Jennifer said. “We want people to feel like they’ve been in Hawaii or have had the flavors of Hawaii in our landlocked city.”
