East Nashville will soon welcome Noko, an Asian-inspired wood-fired restaurant.

Owned and founded by Jon Murray, Noko will be at 701 Porter Rd in East Nashville’s Eastwood neighborhood.

According to a press release, Executive Chef Dung “Junior” Vo will put Asian-inspired spins on proteins and vegetables.

Murray was born and raised in the south. He has about 20 years in the hospitality industry, beginning as a server at O-Ku, a sushi restaurant by The Indigo Road Hospitality Group. He later became the chief restaurant officer of the group.

Diners who come to Noko can expect dishes such as Wagyu Brisket, Smoked Gochujang Hot wings, fire-grilled seafood, and many seasonal vegetables.

The restaurant will open in early Winter 2023.

What Now reached out to Murray for comment, but he wasn’t immediately available.
