Bubba’s 33 appears to be heading to Murfreesboro, according to Planning Commission documents from the June meeting for the Murfreesboro Planning Commission. The restaurant was on the agenda for a site plan review for a 7,105-square-foot restaurant set on a 2.54-acre parcel along North Thompson Lane.
Bubba’s 33 is under the Texas Roadhouse brand. It was founded in 2013 by then-CEO Kent Taylor, opening its first spot in North Carolina. It has now grown to 52 locations, though there are no locations in the Nashville area yet.
Bubba’s 33 serves classic American fare like pizzas, wings, burgers, sandwiches, signature pastas, salads, and some entrees like grilled ribeye and seasoned salmon. It is also a hotspot for a variety of margaritas.
“We make everything in-house from scratch, right down to the sauces on our wings and dressings on our salads,” the Bubba’s 33 website states. “Our pizza dough is hand-stretched, topped with fresh ingredients, and stone-baked. We go big and bold with our burgers, from our half-pound juicy Angus burgers to our double stacked signature beef and bacon grind burgers.”
The fast-casual chain is in expansion mode. Recently, Texas Roadhouse CEO Gerald Morgan shared that he has ambitious goals for the brand, aiming for 200 locations.
As of now, it is unclear when a Murfreesboro location would open, but the spot is still in the planning stages.
