A new Southeast Asian tea and boba storefront will be opening inside the Opry Mills Mall by the end of March. An exact grand-opening date has not yet been determined.
Bubblelicious currently operates in Wisconsin, where it was founded, as well as Illinois, Indiana, and Colorado. This will be the first location of Bubblelicious in Tennessee.
“We’re very excited to bring Bubblelicious to our first location in the South. We make all of our tea fresh everyday and use quality ingredients and authentic recipes,” co-founder and owner Xiao Hu told What Now Nashville.
The Bubblelicious brand both franchises and corporately operates stores across the country. The Nashville location will be corporately ran and owned, Hu told What Now Nashville.
Bubblelicious was founded by Hu and a friend in 2016. At the time, they were just two Milwaukee locals who noticed their area lacked the up-to-par boba that they were used to.
“Like most Asians living in the Midwest, we were constantly craving delicious bubble tea. Although there were bubble tea shops around the area, we couldn’t find anything close to what we had in Asia. After a year of hard work, we developed a fun, diverse menu that we were proud to call ours. Although we didn’t have experience running a business, we brought our bubble tea to a new shop in Southridge Mall,” their website states.
The menu offers an array of various boba refreshments, including traditional milk teas with boba, fruit-based teas and “tiger teas,” which are made with brown sugar. Bubblelicious will also offer boba shakes as a blended variety of the fan-favorite beverage.
