After shuttering earlier this year, Cherokee Steakhouse is reemerging in Lebanon under new ownership. It will reopen at the same spot at Cherokee Marina at 450 Cherokee Dock Road, according to announcements shared by co-owner Emily Akers on social media.
“Since 1958, Cherokee Steakhouse has been more than just a place to eat — it’s been a tradition. A gathering spot. A place where stories are shared over great steaks, lake views, and familiar faces. We’re honored to carry that legacy forward,” an announcement on Facebook stated. “As we look ahead, we’re excited to blend the rich history you know and love with fresh ideas, new energy and a renewed commitment to quality. Our goal is simple: bring back the tradition, while creating something even more special for the future.”
Akers is one of four owners uniting to revive the concept. Akers is also a longtime owner of a restaurant in Iowa focused on Midwest beef and burgers.
Akers shared that the menu for the steakhouse is still in development. It will focus on steak, seafood and chops, and it will feature bar snacks and pizzas to complement the dockside bar. They may also add a brunch dynamic.
As of now, the owners have not settled on an opening date. They are currently in the process of hiring.
