The fast-casual Mexican food chain Chipotle may be opening another location soon as a tenant of the new Tanger Factory Outlet Mall in Antioch this fall, likely in September, though a grand-opening date has not yet been confirmed. It is still currently under construction and will be located along the I-24 and Hickory Hollow Parkway.
The Tanger Factory Outlet Mall in Antioch has been years in the making and has garnered a lot of attention around its construction. Tanger faced multiple building delays due to the Covid-19 virus in 2020, finally broke ground in May 2022, and has recently announced that Sept. 2023 is officially its targeted opening goal, as reported by local outlet WKRN.
Tanger will operate as a 290,000-square-foot open-air shopping complex and plans to offer a variety of restaurants and retail shopping. It will become the 37th Tanger Factory Outlet Mall in the country.
Chipotle currently has 39 Tennessee locations and over 3,000 in the country, all corporately owned and operated. The chain offers a simplified menu of burritos, bowls, tacos, salads, and quesadillas, with customizable options with a choice from 53 fresh ingredients.
The Chipotle website claims it never uses meat with artificial hormones and was “one of the first national restaurant brands to commit to goals on local and organic produce,” in an effort to offer a healthier alternative to traditional fast food.
