After nearly a year in business, the Chinese American concept is set to close permanently. In a recent Instagram post, Choy confirmed that it will serve its last meal to the local community on July 23, 2025. Located at 121B 12th Ave N in The Gulch, the restaurant has been welcoming diners ahead of its final day of service.

Choy is inviting guests to stop by for one last happy hour, enjoy signature dishes, or simply say farewell. The closure comes just a week before what would have marked Choy’s first anniversary on July 30.

About the Restaurant

Owned by Moni Advani and his partner Nishaan Chavda, the Nashville restaurant has been serving residents since July 2024. Led by Executive Chef Brian Griffith, the menu features dishes like Peking duck and steak fried rice made with local Tennessee ingredients.

Choy also offered an extensive wine list and a ‘Golden Happy Hour’ menu. During its year in The Gulch, Choy earned a spot on The New York Times’ list of ’25 Best Restaurants in Nashville Right Now.’

Though short-lived, Choy made its mark on Nashville’s dining scene with its Chinese American fare.
