Florida-based breakfast chain First Watch will open a location in downtown Nashville at 130 3rd Ave N. according to recent permits. Although an exact grand opening date is too far out to determine, it’s likely the restaurant may open doors sometime next year.

First Watch CEO Chris Tomasso is behind the expansion. There are currently eight First Watch locations across the Nashville region, all being company owned and operated, as reported by the Nashville Post.

Known for its full-service daytime cafe menu, First Watch is a popular breakfast and brunch option offering up boozy beverages and unique takes on American staples, like its strawberry tres leches French toast, BLT eggs benedict, chili chorizo omelet, avocado toast, pancakes, and more. Its lunch menu includes salads, sandwiches, and power bowls.

The new downtown location is expected to be open from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily and will include a full bar.

According to its website, First Watch has just under 500 locations in 29 states and is also the owner of Sun & Fork by First Watch, a fast-casual café concept in Nashville. The brand focuses on providing seasonally fresh ingredients across its dishes.

“Just as we greet each morning with the sunrise, we welcome each season into the First Watch menu with ingredients and flavors inspired by the position of the sun. That’s why on our menu you’ll find vibrant, green California-grown asparagus in April, or the most refreshing Florida watermelon in July, or tender, sweet yellow corn from the midwest in August,” states the First Watch website.
