Flavor 90s Bar at 1526 Demonbreun Street is slated for a new concept.

The bar is not going anywhere, but owner Neil Roemer shared in a phone conversation with What Now Nashville that he has a new concept in the works. He is partnering with the team at Roasted to bring a full-service restaurant concept to the site.

Roemer opened Flavor 90s Bar last January, filling the space that used to hold Tacos and Tequila. It serves 1990s-themed cocktails and features live music performances.

The new restaurant concept, which will be called Roasted at Flavor, is in the midst of being built out and is expected to open later this year. Roemer is hoping to have a grand opening on New Year’s Eve.

“It’ll be an awesome concept,” Roemer said. “Instead of just being the ’90s nostalgia bar at night, which we are now, we’ll be open all day and we’ll become a full-blown restaurant.”

Roasted has one location in Midtown at 614 18th Ave N. It used to have a location in Salemtown, but it closed after a shooting on Easter earlier this year. It has not reopened that location. Roasted serves items like sandwiches and wings.
