Rock N’ Roll Sushi franchise owners Jennifer and Eric Covell have a second location in the works, slated to follow their first location as franchisees with the American-style sushi brand. While the first location will open in Mt. Juliet early next year, the second location is expected to join the Gallatin community in mid-2026.

Eric told What Now Nashville that they are still searching for an exact location for the spot. He views Gallatin as a natural next step from a Mt. Juliet location as they look to build out the brand on the east side of the Nashville area.

The Covells view the rock n’ roll aspect of the brand as a major differentiator for the restaurant. The theme is prevalent in the branding, with menu headers like Opening Acts, Classics, Green Room, Headliners (with Raw Tracks) and Back Stage Hibachi, as well as menu items like punk rock roll and VIP Roll.

“[The branding] drove it home for us. It’s something we both love and are passionate about,” Eric said. “Having a themed restaurant we could get behind really excited us.”

Eric views opening restaurants in communities like Mt. Juliet and Gallatin as a way to bring positivity to the lives of those they have grown to know in their 12 years of living in Wilson County.

“We’ve developed a pretty deep root system in the Mt. Juliet area,” Eric said. “We have a lot of friends — some business owners, some blue collar — and by building a restaurant here, we can touch all of them. We just want to make a place where people can talk, hang out and build a sense of community.”

Moving forward, the Covells do hope to grow with the brand. Eric said they will be looking into opening additional locations further along down the road, depending on how these initial locations perform.

“Our goal is probably to open a couple more stores if the plan works out,” Eric said. “Nashville is a hotbed and we know there’s a lot of buzz around the existing franchisees for the Middle Tennessee area.”
