A new authentic Italian restaurant will open soon inside of the Laurel & Pines mixed-use development in East Nashville at 905 Cherokee Ave. The long-awaited Frankies 457 Spuntino outpost in Nashville, simply named Frankies Nashville, will officially open in the spring, confirmed this week on their Instagram page.

Though it was first announced to open in Jan. 2023, the restaurant has been working on its construction and hiring a full staff, which has delayed the opening date to spring 2023.

The Brooklyn favorite has been in business since 2004 in Carroll Gardens. Owners Frank Castronovo and Frank Falcinelli are behind the expansion, and are no strangers to the industry. The New York Times, GQ, and The Tonight Show have all featured them in interviews about Frankies Spuntino. They even had their own show on Vice in 2014 called “Being Frank: The Life and Times of Frank and Frank.”

These industry icons are bringing house-made pizza, pasta, sandwiches, antipasti, and an array of Italian desserts to Nashville, straight from New York.

According to The New York Times, the expansion of Frankies to Nashville was precipitated by John Burns Paterson, who acts as a partner in the restaurant group.

“It won’t be a copy-and-paste of Brooklyn,” Paterson told the Times. “But we want to take that spirit and bring it here.”

A representative from Frankies could not be immediately reached for comment.

In addition to the restaurant, Frankies will have an outdoor seating area and retail space for guests to purchase Frankies branded cured meats, jarred sauces and pastas.
