According to recent permits, a new restaurant called Gogi Korean BBQ will open soon in Murfreesboro, with an address of 1855 Medical Center Pkwy Suite A. The restaurant will be located in The Oaks Shopping Mall complex near Ginger Thai Bistro and Sal’s Pizza.
Though the details are still unfolding about the new project and a website is under development, owner Carey Hook confirmed with What Now Nashville that he’s overseeing operations, and hopefully doors can open in the upcoming months. An exact grand opening date is not currently known.
Murfreesboro, a popular Nashville suburb, offers plenty of chain restaurants in the area but lacks authentic and diverse restaurants. Gogi Korean BBQ will hopefully change this, ushering forth a new wave of Asian-American influenced spots.
Korean BBQ is a specifically unique concept that allows its guests to cook their own food to their liking, with a specialized grill built into the table. Dishes often include Wagyu steak, bulgogi beef, pork belly, and a variety of soups and side dishes.
